Los Gatos United Methodist Church
Grace Preschool sits on the grounds of the historic Los Gatos United Methodist Church, which dates back to 1866. The LGUMC was the first formal religious organization in the town of Los Gatos. Today, we gather in our third sanctuary since our services began in 1866.
Chapel
We foster each child's connection to faith through age-appropriate experiences that help them learn about God's love and Christian values. Throughout the year, we celebrate the holidays of Christmas and Easter, giving children opportunities to learn about their meaning and significance.
Once a month, the children attend Chapel, a special small-group gathering led by Jessica Eastland, our Children's Ministry leader. During Chapel, children explore important virtues such as kindness, compassion, friendship, gratitude, and respect through songs, stories, and conversations. Chapel also provides an opportunity to learn and discuss traditions about upcoming Christian holidays. Families are always welcome to join us during Chapel.
At snack time, children are encouraged to pause and give thanks by learning and reciting a simple prayer before they eat.

Pastor Jae
Pastor Hyujae Lee has over 26 years of pastoral ministry experience and has served in the United Methodist Church since 2002 . “Pastor Jae" began his ministry serving two congregations in Wisconsin before spending more than two decades ministering to a variety of churches in Illinois, including Korean-speaking, rural, and urban English-speaking congregations. Known for his warm, welcoming spirit and open heart, Pastor Jae is passionate about serving people of all ages and backgrounds. His ministry focuses on building vibrant children, youth, and young adult's ministries while encouraging mission outreach and community engagement. He joined LGUMC in July 2025 and immediately won hearts with the great energy he brought to the congregation and the jokes he tells at the beginning of every Sunday service.
